Varje rum på VICATOO genomgår en personlig granskning av vårt team. Det är ingen automatiserad kontroll. Det är en mänsklig bedömning — rum för rum.

Varför vi har en rumsstandard

Most booking platforms list every hotel that pays to be listed. The result is hundreds of thousands of properties — with no quality filter beyond star ratings that mean nothing in practice.

VICATOO lists fewer properties. But every property we list has been physically visited, filmed, and approved against our standard.

Vad vi kontrollerar — rum för rum

Natural Light

The room must have adequate natural light through real windows — not skylights, not frosted glass, not a window facing a wall 2 meters away. We film with curtains open, natural light only.

Utsikten — exakt som den är

We stand at the window and film what you will actually see. If the label says "Bosphorus view" — the Bosphorus must be clearly visible, not a distant sliver between buildings. If the label says "sea view" — you will see the sea. Not a parking lot with water at the horizon.

Badrummet — modernt och rent

We walk through the bathroom completely on camera. We check: tile condition, fixture age, shower/tub cleanliness, lighting, and overall feel. Outdated bathrooms, cracked tiles, worn fixtures, or poor maintenance = rejected.

Rumsstorlek — ärlig representation

We walk the room on camera to show actual proportions. A room that feels suffocating — regardless of its listed square meters — does not pass.

Möbler och sängkläder

Worn-out mattresses, faded bedding, broken furniture, or dated decor that creates discomfort = rejected. The room should feel well-maintained and cared for.

Luft och öppenhet

Rooms that feel closed, dark, or suffocating — regardless of size — do not pass our standard. A room should feel like somewhere you want to be.

Ljudmiljö

Where possible, we assess noise exposure. Rooms directly above nightclubs, next to elevator shafts, or facing high-traffic streets are labeled or excluded accordingly.

Balkong — om sådan finns

We film the balcony and the view from it separately. Size, privacy, and usability are assessed. A balcony facing a wall is not described as a balcony with a view.

Vad vi vägrar lista

Rooms with windows facing walls or internal corridors
Bathrooms with visible mold, cracked surfaces, or worn fixtures
Rooms where the listed view does not match what you actually see
Rooms where furniture or bedding shows significant wear
Rooms that feel disproportionately small for the price category
Properties that refuse honest filming
Rooms where the hotel photo is significantly better than the actual condition

Vad våra rumsetiketter faktiskt betyder

Bosporenutsikt — stark	Direct, unobstructed Bosphorus view. Clearly visible from the bed or balcony.
Bosporenutsikt — delvis	Bosphorus visible but at an angle or partially obscured. Still genuine. Labeled honestly.
Havsutsikt	Open sea clearly visible from the room or balcony.
Stadsutsikt	Urban skyline or cityscape. Not sea. Not garden. Not parking.
Badrum: modernt	Updated fixtures, clean tiling, good lighting, no visible wear.
Badrum: klassiskt	Clean and functional, traditional style, older fixtures in good condition.
Rumsstorlek: rymligt	Walks large. Clear separation of sleep and living areas.
Rumsstorlek: standard	Comfortable for 1–2 guests. Not cramped. Not oversized.
Lugnt	Assessed during filming. Away from street noise, elevators, and entertainment areas.
